Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant for a Welsh-medium primary school in Newtown, starting immediately on a long-term temporary basis. The role involves supporting pupils across year groups and assisting class teachers to deliver engaging activities in Welsh.

The successful candidate will have fluent Welsh, experience with primary pupils, and a solid understanding of the Curriculum for Wales.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh language skills required (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

The school prides itself on providing a friendly, inclusive and supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and Welsh language skills.

The school is looking to take on a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will be working across different year groups throughout the school, supporting pupils with their learning, working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging activities and helping children achieve their full potential through the medium of Welsh.

The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will have:

• Fluency in Welsh, with the ability to communicate confidently in both spoken and written Welsh
• Experience working with children across different primary school year groups
• A good understanding of the Curriculum for Wales
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
