Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Welsh Speaking Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 and KS2 in the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff. The role offers immediate start in a Welsh-medium setting with day-to-day, short-term, or longer placements, and a dedicated consultant team to assist with onboarding.

You will use basic Welsh in classroom support, helping learners across the primary curriculum while fostering a positive, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally within a Welsh-medium school.
• Basic Welsh language skills and confidence to use Welsh in teaching and learning.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum across KS1 and KS2.

Responsibilities

• Support learning across KS1 and KS2 in Welsh-medium and English classrooms.
• Assist teachers with activities, ensuring an engaging and inclusive environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and monitor progress.
