Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Welsh Speaking Primary Teacher for a Welsh-medium primary school in the Vale of Glamorgan. The role involves teaching KS1 pupils in Welsh and English when required, with a strong emphasis on engaging lessons and effective classroom management.

The successful candidate will hold QTS (NQTs welcomed) and have experience in primary education, particularly KS1, in a supportive and wellbeing-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh speaker is required to teach in a Welsh-medium setting.
• Proven primary teaching experience with strong classroom management.
• Experience teaching or supporting pupils across KS1/Year 1-2 is preferred.
• QTS and eligibility to teach in the UK are required or NQT welcome.

Responsibilities

• Teach Welsh-medium Primary curriculum to KS1 pupils.
• Maintain engaging lessons and effective classroom management.
• Assess and support pupil learning in line with school policies.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Welsh-medium Primary School in the Vale of Glamorgan who are looking to appoint a Welsh Speaking Primary Teacher.

The school provides a supportive environment with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and creating a positive learning experience for pupils.

The school is looking to take on a Welsh Speaking Primary Teacher on a long-term basis, working with pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Welsh Speaking Primary Teacher must be confident teaching through the medium of Welsh, while also being comfortable teaching in English when required.

The successful Welsh Speaking Primary Teacher will have:

• QTS (NQTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Fluency in Welsh
• Primary teaching experience
• Experience teaching or supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A confident and engaging approach to guiding pupils' learning
