Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant for a long-term, part-time role in the Vale of Glamorgan. The successful candidate will support pupils across KS1/KS2 and communicate confidently in Welsh throughout the school day.

Immediate start, PAYE pay, and access to CPD courses are provided. The role is in Welsh-medium schools, requiring a strong and positive classroom presence and teamwork within the school community.

Qualifications

• Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children in a school or educational setting.
• Experience supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Confident Welsh communicator in a school environment.

Responsibilities

The schools are looking to take on a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant on a long-term, part-time basis with an immediate start. The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will work across KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils with their learning and wellbeing while confidently communicating in Welsh throughout the school day.

The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children
• Confidence communicating in Welsh
• Experience supporting children within KS1 and/or KS2 is desirable
• A motivated and hard-working approach
• A supportive and positive presence
• The ability to work effectively as part of a school team
