Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Welsh-speaking Primary Teachers for Welsh-medium and bilingual schools across North Powys, with immediate starts and both short-term and long-term opportunities.

We seek adaptable, motivated educators to deliver engaging Welsh-language lessons across KS1 and KS2, maintaining strong classroom management and supporting pupils of all abilities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (NQTs are also welcome)
• Fluency in the Welsh language and ability to teach through Welsh
• Experience in UK primary school settings, preferably Welsh-medium or bilingual
• Strong knowledge of Curriculum for Wales across KS1 and KS2
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Welsh-language lessons
• Positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching

Job Title: Welsh Speaking Primary Teacher

Location: Newtown, Welshpool and surrounding areas across North Powys

Start Date: Immediate Start

Do you have strong classroom management skills and a passion for supporting children's development in a Welsh-speaking learning environment?

Are you a qualified Welsh Speaking Primary Teacher with a sound understanding of the Curriculum for Wales across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2?

TeacherActive is working with a range of Welsh-medium and bilingual Primary Schools across North Powys to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Welsh Speaking Primary Teachers for both short-term and long-term opportunities, with immediate starts available.

We are looking for adaptable and motivated Welsh Speaking Primary Teachers to deliver engaging lessons through the medium of Welsh across KS1 and KS2, maintain strong classroom management and support pupils of all abilities. Opportunities include day-to-day supply, short-term cover and long-term placements.

The successful Welsh Speaking Primary Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (NQTs are also welcome to apply)
• Fluency in the Welsh language, with the confidence to teach and communicate effectively through the medium of Welsh
• Experience teaching within a UK Primary School setting, ideally within a Welsh-medium or bilingual school
• Strong knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales across KS1 and KS2
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons through the medium of Welsh
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
