Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a Welsh-medium Flying Start childcare provision based in Swansea. We are seeking a fluent Welsh speaker with a Level 3 childcare qualification to join as a Flying Start Practitioner, supporting 2-3 year olds with engaging, play-based activities.

This temporary position offers flexible hours on long- and short-term basis. You will help develop Welsh language skills and ensure a safe, nurturing environment in a caring, patient team.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Learning and Development or an equivalent recognised childcare qualification
• Fluency in Welsh with the ability to communicate confidently with children, colleagues and parents
• Experience working within an early years, nursery or Flying Start childcare setting
• Sound knowledge of child development, safeguarding and the Curriculum for Wales
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children's development
• Flexibility, reliability and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

This established early years setting provides a nurturing and engaging environment for young children, with a strong focus on developing confidence, independence and Welsh language skills through play-based learning.

The setting is looking for Welsh Speaking Level 3 Flying Start Practitioners on long-term and short term basis, offering flexible working hours. The successful Flying Start Practitioner will support children aged 2-3 years, delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities, encouraging Welsh language development and ensuring a safe, stimulating environment that supports children's individual learning and development.

The successful Welsh Speaking Level 3 Flying Start Practitioner will have:

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Learning and Development or an equivalent recognised childcare qualification
• Fluency in Welsh, with the ability to communicate confidently with children, colleagues and parents
• Experience working within an early years, nursery or Flying Start childcare setting
