Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd are recruiting a Level 3 Nursery Assistant for a Flying Start nursery in Newport (NP20). The role is full-time, long-term, term-time only, with an ASAP start from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

You will support daily routines, deliver play-based learning activities and help maintain a safe, nurturing environment in line with the Foundation Learning curriculum for Wales.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or equivalent.
• Experience in nursery/Flying Start or Early Years setting.
• Good understanding of child development and Curriculum for Wales.
• Ability to support children's learning through play-based activities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Flying Start nursery setting based in Newport, NP20, supporting young children during their crucial early years of development. The setting provides early years care and education, with a focus on supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

The nursery is looking to appoint a dedicated Level 3 Nursery Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, working term time only from 8:30am to 3:30pm, with an ASAP start. The successful Level 3 Nursery Assistant will support children within the Flying Start provision, assisting with daily routines, delivering engaging learning activities and creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in line with the Foundation Learning curriculum for Wales.

The successful Level 3 Nursery Assistant will have:

• A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or equivalent
• Experience working within a nursery, Flying Start or Early Years setting
• A good understanding of child development and the Curriculum for Wales
• The ability to support children's learning through play-based activities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children
