Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a Welsh-speaking ALN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Torfaen. This role offers 1:1 and small-group support, with opportunities to work through Welsh where required, beginning September 2026 and continuing long-term or for supply roles.

You will help pupils access learning, encourage independence and build strong relationships with staff, while maintaining a patient, adaptable approach and safeguarding awareness.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh speaker - essential.
• Experience working with children or young people is essential.
• ALN/SEND experience is desirable.

Are you a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children or young people with additional learning needs?

We're recruiting a dedicated Welsh Speaking ALN Teaching Assistant for opportunities across Torfaen. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ALN TA or someone with transferable experience who is passionate about helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and learning.

The Role

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ALN
Support pupils through the medium of Welsh where required
Assist teachers with learning activities and classroom routines
Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
Support pupils to access learning and reach their individual goals
