Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a Welsh Speaking ALN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Torfaen. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support and working through Welsh where required.

Ideal candidates have experience with children or young people; ALN/SEND experience is desirable. This role offers flexible opportunities, holiday pay, CPD training, and dedicated consultant support throughout placement.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh speaker essential.
• Experience working with children or young people required.
• ALN/SEND experience desirable.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ALN.
• Support pupils through the medium of Welsh where required.
• Assist teachers with learning activities and classroom routines.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Support pupils to access learning and reach individual goals.
