Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a successful Primary School located in Carmarthen, Wales. They are seeking an ALN Specialist Teaching Assistant for a full-time role to support a pupil on a 1-2-1 basis, ensuring involvement in activities and assisting with additional needs.

Hours are 08:30 to 15:30, with a positive, adaptable attitude essential for daily classroom challenges. The role requires a TA qualification or 6 months of classroom experience, strong organisational and communication skills,

Qualifications

• TA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to create valued relationships with pupils.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Welsh speaking preferred (not essential).

Responsibilities

• Support a pupil on a 1-2-1 basis in the classroom.
• Help ensure all children participate in classroom activities.
• Be flexible with hours (08:30–15:30) and maintain a positive attitude.

The Primary School are looking to take on a ALN Specialist Teaching Assistant on a full time basis to support a pupil on a 1-2-1 basis in thei classroom. The successful ALN Teaching Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that all the children are getting involved with the classroom activities whilst supporting those that may require additional help on a one to one basis. You will need to be flexible around the times of 08:30am – 15:30pm and hold a can do, positive attitude when in the role.

The successful Teaching Assistant / TA will have:

• TA qualification or at least 6 months experience working within a classroom setting
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A good ability to create valued relationships with pupils
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Welsh speaking preferred ( not essential)
