Overview

Accountant Welsh Speaker – Location: County of Gwynedd. Type: Full-Time, Permanent. Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 (DOE).

Siamo Recruitment are currently seeking an Accountant on behalf of a well-established and growing Accountancy practice located in the County of Gwynedd. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to join a close-knit team of professionals delivering a high standard of accountancy services to a varied portfolio of local clients. The ability to communicate fluently in Welsh is essential for this position, due to the client base and the nature of the work.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accountant looking to excel their career in a supportive and flexible working environment. We will consider candidates who have relevant working experience without the qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of clients across various sectors, providing end-to-end accountancy services
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, VAT returns, and tax computations
  • Overseeing bookkeeping, management accounts, and payroll tasks as required
  • Offering proactive tax planning and financial advice to clients
  • Using and supporting junior staff with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to their development
  • Ensuring all financial practices comply with current legislation and industry standard
The Ideal Candidate
  • Fully qualified ACA or ACCA accountant or relevant experience.
  • Strong practice background with experience managing client accounts
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent Welsh speaker essential for engaging with local clients
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team
