Job summary

Academics in Wales is recruiting a Welsh Medium Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in RCT for an immediate start. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, supporting a Welsh Medium Reception class and helping with learning, play and daily routines.

Fluent Welsh, Enhanced DBS, EWC registration and safeguarding checks are required, along with right to work documentation to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Fluent in Welsh.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
• Completion of safeguarding and compliance checks.
• Right to work documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within a Welsh-medium Reception class.
• Assist with learning, play and classroom activities.
• Support children's social, emotional and educational development.
• Help maintain a safe, positive and engaging learning environment.
• Support pupils with routines and day-to-day classroom needs.
