Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a Welsh primary school in Blackwood seeking a fluent Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position starting immediately.

The role covers Foundation Phase and KS2, with working hours 08:30 to 15:30, and requires a TA/Childcare qualification or at least 6 months experience with children; you will support pupils and build positive relationships.

Qualifications

• TA/Childcare qualification or 6+ months experience with children.
• Fluent verbal and written Welsh.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with students.
• Can-do, positive attitude and approach to their work.
• Patience and ability to remain calm under stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across Foundation Phase and KS2.
• Assist with engaging learning from 08:30 to 15:30.
• Contribute to a positive classroom environment.
• Aid in building strong relationships with students.
