Job summary

Virgin Active in Bromley seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead the site’s preventative maintenance programme for the building and grounds, ensuring safe operations and proper records. You will manage the Maintenance Engineer and coordinate external technicians to keep facilities at peak performance.

The role is full-time (40 hours) with development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package within a premium wellness environment.

Qualifications

• A technical Level 2 qualification of City & Guilds equivalent or higher and 5 years' experience within a relevant sector.
• Experience in maintaining and operating large clubs or facilities and knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
• Ability to manage staff, coordinate external contractors and ensure compliance with safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all maintenance problems and queries are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
• Guaranteeing that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with company policies and health and safety legislation.
• Monitoring the basic fixtures and fittings of the building are maintained to high standards of order and tidiness.
• Adhering to daily & weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of site and keeping accurate records.
• Directly manages the club Maintenance Engineer and organises work rotations and assignments.
• Manages the monthly budget for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance in collaboration with GM and OM.
• Acts as point of contact for all external technicians and companies.
• Fulfilling Duty Shifts when required and overseeing staffing and facilities issues during shifts.
