Job summary

Virgin Active is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the Maintenance Team in London. The role focuses on operating and maintaining a preventative maintenance programme across the site, including the building shell and grounds, under supervision.

You’ll ensure compliance, maintain plant and equipment, and work with the club team to provide exemplary member service and safety. A Level 2 City & Guilds or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a technical Level 2 qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility adheres to engineering compliance standards to keep members and employees safe.
• Monitor fixtures and fittings to high standards of order and tidiness.
• Carry out daily and weekly checks and maintain accurate records.
• Follow Health & Safety policies and report issues promptly.
• Maintain basements, plant rooms, roof and fire exits to company standards.
• Take initiative and own situations such as member complaints.
• Work with the club team in a professional, courteous manner.
• Fulfil duty shifts with responsibility and accountability.
