This service is designed to provide accessible, short-term, one-on-one telephone support sessions for people experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges.

Wellbeing practitioners offer tailored guidance and practical advice to help individuals improve and maintain their emotional well-being. Each session is person-centred, focusing on the unique needs of the individual, and may include signposting to longer-term services or community resources.

The role requires empathy, active listening, and the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone. Support Workers must be confident in assessing needs, providing appropriate interventions, and maintaining accurate records. They are part of a wider mental health support network and contribute to the overall goal of reducing barriers to mental health care and promoting early help within the community.

Any shifts on Monday through to Friday are 3.5 hours long running from 18:15 to 21:45, and any weekend shifts are 4.5 hours long running from 10:00 to 14:30, during which several people (aged 11+) receive support sessions focused on early intervention. The support is tailored to each person's needs, helping them make positive changes to improve and maintain their well-being. This can include offering practical advice, guidance, or referrals to long-term support services within the Bradford and Craven District.
