ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your role will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a variety of activities aimed at engaging and stimulating residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive image of the home.
  • Reporting any changes in residents’ physical or emotional conditions to the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
  • Assisting with ordering and preparing supplies for activities.
  • Establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to promote access to the wider community and encourage intergenerational activities.

ABOUT YOU

You should:

  • Have effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understand the importance of interaction in promoting well-being.
  • Possess a positive attitude towards older people and a commitment to providing stimulating activities and social events.
  • Have previous experience working with older people in a residential, nursing, or Dementia care setting.
