Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking an Active Health Co-Ordinator to deliver wellbeing programmes and initiatives across campus. Based primarily at Goodwin Sports Centre, you will collaborate with the Sport and Physical Activity team to promote activity and mental wellbeing for students and staff.

You will assess clients, tailor individual programmes, conduct follow-ups, and report on outcomes. Acknowledged qualifications and strong communication are essential, with a flexible, supportive

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Exercise Referral Qualification.
• Qualified to REP's Personal Trainer Qualification.
• Experience and knowledge of designing personal programmes and conducting gym inductions while motivating and supporting clients to achieve their goals.
• Experience of working with clients who may present with anxiety, stress/depression.
• Experience of working in a sport and physical activity industry.
• Experience of delivering physical activity and wellbeing classes for a varied audience.
• Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office or similar, and willingness to learn new systems.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements and relevant legislation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer care skills.
• Must have a valid First Aid Qualification (Desirable).
• Experience of working on similar exercise/wellbeing referral programmes (Desirable).
• Experience of delivering educational workshops for a varied audience (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellbeing sessions and educational workshops for students and staff.
• Provide regular reporting and feedback to assist in service improvements.
• Maintain client documentation and progress records.
• Analyse client wellbeing and tailor individual exercise programmes.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and referral programme protocols.
