Job summary

Gi Group is seeking a Welding Team Leader in Banbury to guide a skilled welding team in a busy manufacturing workshop. You will lead from the front, delegate tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of high-quality stainless steel components.

The role requires TIG welding expertise, the ability to read engineering drawings, and strong leadership to coordinate shifts. Immediate start on a temp-to-perm basis with overtime available.

Qualifications

• Previous team leading or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Skilled TIG welder and experience working with stainless steel.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Leading from the front by producing high quality products
• Being the first point of call for any questions or queries from team members
• Running team meetings and allocating workload
• Monitoring the team’s performance and providing support where needed
• TIG welding and working with thin‑gauge stainless steel (2–5mm)
• Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings

Welding Team Leader required to join our client in Banbury. The role will involve leading from the front, delegating tasks and monitoring progress within a busy manufacturing workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading from the front by producing high quality products
• Being the first point of call for any questions or queries from team members
• Running team meetings and allocating workload
• Monitoring the team’s performance and providing support where needed
• TIG welding and working with thin‑gauge stainless steel (2–5mm)
• Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings

Experience Required:

• £32,000 annually
