Pertemps in Tewkesbury is seeking an experienced stainless steel TIG Welder to join a specialist engineering manufacturer. You will fabricate pipework and components from technical drawings using 304 and 316 stainless steel, in a permanent role with up to 37 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will possess TIG welding to 6G capability, strong attention to detail, and good teamwork to support a high-quality, safety-conscious environment. Interviews are available now.

Qualifications

• Experience TIG welding stainless steel is essential.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Fabricate pipe runs delivering process media from storage tanks to production systems.
• TIG weld predominantly 304 and 316 stainless steel components.
• Produce high-quality welds to engineering specifications.
• Work with supplied TIG welding equipment.
• Carry out fabrication and welding activities safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work meets company quality standards.

Job description

Welder required in Tewkesbury. Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (£16.00 per hour), Hours: Up to 37 hours per week, Contract: Permanent opportunity with a specialist engineering manufacturer.

Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Welder to join a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business based in Tewkesbury. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke industrial equipment, supplying customer-specific solutions across a range of industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled stainless steel TIG Welder looking to join a close-knit engineering team where quality workmanship and attention to detail are highly valued. Reporting directly to senior engineering personnel, you will be responsible for fabricating pipework systems and components from technical drawings using primarily 304 and 316 stainless steel materials.

Key Duties

• Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings.
• Fabricating pipe runs for delivering process media from storage tanks to production systems.
• TIG welding predominantly 304 and 316 stainless steel components.
• Producing high-quality welds to engineering specifications.
• Working with supplied TIG welding equipment.
• Carrying out fabrication and welding activities safely and efficiently.

• Collaborating with production and engineering teams to meet project deadlines.
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience TIG welding stainless steel is essential.
• Ability to weld to a high standard and demonstrate TIG 6G capability.

Working Hours

• Up to 37 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday working pattern.
• Part-time applications will be considered for the right candidate.
• Permanent position following a successful probation period.

Pay & Benefits

• £16.00 per hour.
• Equivalent annual salary of approximately £30,000 - £32,000.
• Permanent, full-time opportunity.

• Holiday entitlement increases by 0.5 days per completed calendar year of service, up to a maximum of 27 days.
