Job summary

Aspion, Bolton-based engineering manufacturer, is hiring an experienced Welder / Fabricator to produce stainless-steel fabrications from drawings. The role offers a competitive salary and Monday to Friday hours in a modern workshop.

You should be time-served, with at least two years in welding/fabrication and strong TIG experience, able to work from engineering drawings and maintain safety in a busy workshop. The position includes overtime and a range of benefits.

• Time Served Welder/Fabricator.
• At least 2 years’ experience as Welder/Fabricator.
• Strong TIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Health and safety awareness in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• TIG welding and fabricating stainless steel frames to specification.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Cutting, shaping and assembling materials accurately.
• Ensuring work meets quality standards and project requirements.
• Using workshop machinery and fabrication tools safely and efficiently.

Salary: £30,000 to £34,000 (dependent on experience + overtime + benefits)

A well-established engineering manufacturer that designs and builds bespoke machinery for customers worldwide is looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join the team.

The Role of the Welder / Fabricator

The Welder / Fabricator will be responsible for producing high-quality stainless-steel fabrications in line with engineering drawings and project specifications.

Responsibilities of the Welder / Fabricator

• TIG welding and fabricating stainless steel frames to specification
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Cutting, shaping and assembling materials accurately
• Ensuring all work meets quality standards and project requirements
• Using workshop machinery and fabrication tools safely and efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements of the Welder / Fabricator

• Time Served Welder / Fabricator
• At least 2 year’s experience as a Welder Fabricator
• Strong TIG welding experience
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and hardworking with good timekeeping
• Understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing or workshop environment
