Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting for a TIG Welder in Banbury, working exclusively with stainless steel to produce high-quality components. The role is a temp-to-perm position with immediate start, paying £14.00 per hour (£29,500 annually). Hours are Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:00 and Friday 07:00–14:00.

You will weld stainless steel to a high standard, read engineering drawings, and may perform basic fabrication duties. Some MIG welding experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experienced TIG welder with stainless steel experience.
• Able to read engineering drawings and follow technical specifications.
• Safe, precise welding skills with attention to quality and detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with thin-gauge stainless steel (2-5mm).
• Read and work from engineering drawings.
• Carry out basic fabrication duties where required.
• Minimal stainless steel MIG welding where needed.

Our client are looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join their team in Banbury. You will be working exclusively with stainless steel to producing high‑quality components.

Key Responsibilities

• TIG welding to a high standard
• Working with thin‑gauge stainless steel (2-5mm)
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Basic fabrication duties where required
• Minimal stainless steel MIG welding

Experience Required

• Skilled TIG welder
• Must have experience working with stainless steel
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings
• Experience in stainless steel MIG welding would be a beneficial
