Job summary

Mactech Inspection Ltd is recruiting a Field Engineer (Welding/NDT Inspector) for the Hinkley Point C project in Bridgwater. You will perform surveillance to ensure activities comply with contractor work information and nuclear safety culture.

You will liaise with the Construction Superintendent and site team to uphold quality and safety standards. The role requires welding/NDT qualifications, familiarity with British and European standards, and the ability to issue NCRs and maintain quality

Qualifications

• Mechanical/Materials/Welding qualifications or equivalent.
• CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent in line with ISO 17024.
• PCN Level 2 NDT qualifications desirable (surface and/or volumetric).

Responsibilities

• Inspect works for contract conformity and quality; raise non-conformances.
• Issue NCRs and track progress to resolution.
• Communicate with stakeholders and report surveillance results.
• Support KPIs with surveillance information and site activity planning.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and site procedures.
• Review quality records and ensure they are completed before cover-up.
