Job summary

Rullion is seeking a Field Engineer - Mechanical / Welding (NDT Inspector) for the Hinkley Point C project in Bridgwater, Somerset. The role focuses on inspection of welding, NDT, quality assurance and construction surveillance within a highly regulated environment.

You will provide technical oversight, conduct surveillance activities, raise NCRs and ensure works meet approved specifications, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• PCN Level 2 NDT qualifications (or equivalent).
• Extensive weld inspection experience on major projects.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, welding and NDT processes.
• Experience reviewing ITPs, QCPs and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveillance and inspection to ensure compliance with contract and quality standards.
• Verify mechanical, welding and fabrication activities across construction packages.
• Identify quality issues and non-conformances; raise and close NCRs with stakeholders.
• Monitor contractor performance against approved QCPs and ITPS.
• Review Quality Inspection Records prior to handover; maintain site diaries.
