Job summary

A leading company is seeking experienced Welding Inspectors to conduct fabrication inspections for esteemed clients in the UK. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience, along with certifications such as CSWIP 3.1 and NDT Level 2. The role involves preparing reports, ensuring compliance with international standards, and effective communication with clients. This position is available for freelancers or agencies for ad hoc activities, based in Gateshead between July 1, 2025, and September 29, 2025.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in similar fabrication.
• Ability to communicate in English for reporting and understanding international standards.
• Experience inspecting at vendor's premises.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of fabrication structures including vent hatches and receptacles.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports for clients.
• Coordinate inspections with clients as required.

RINA is looking for experienced Welding Inspectors to perform inspection activities on behalf of RINA for our esteemed clients in the UK.

Requested:

• Experienced in Conducting fabrication inspection of vent hatches, hot stabs, dummy stabs, receptacles and accessories
• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or AWS Certified Inspector,
• NDT L2 in MT, PT, RT, UT
• Inspectors shall have minimum 10 years of experience (minimum 5 years shall be from similar type of fabrication). Inspectors should have inspection experience at the vendor’s premises. Experience may cover daily inspections or short term/long term project inspections on behalf of clients or third party inspections;
• Inspector with coating inspection certificates such as Level II Painting Inspector NACE, AMPP, FROSIO, BGAS is an added advantage
• Ability to prepare daily/weekly inspection reports;
• Adequate level of English for reporting, understanding international standards/codes, and communicating with clients in case of need;
• Being a freelancer inspector or part of inspectors agency/society, the inspector or the company should be able to invoice the service;
