Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator for a permanent weekend shift in Gateshead. You will perform high-quality welding and fabrication to approved drawings and WPSs as part of a skilled engineering team.

The role requires a time-served Welder with NVQ Level 3 in Welding and Fabrication and CSWIP 3.1 certification, plus TIG/MIG/SMAW experience and the ability to read detailed drawings. Weekend hours are Fri–Sun 7:30am–4:45pm.

Qualifications

• As a time-served Welder/Fabricator you must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Welding and Fabrication.
• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection certification or equivalent is required.
• Proven TIG, MIG and SMAW welding experience on detailed drawings and WPSs.
• Skilled in reading engineering drawings and following WPS procedures.
• Experience with non-ferrous materials and stainless steel is advantageous.

Welder Fabricator – Permanent Weekend Shift

Location: Gateshead

Salary: £29.48 per hour plus weekend shift allowance of £117 per week (if all 3 days are worked).
Shift: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 7:30am - 4:45pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a highly skilled engineering team on a permanent weekend shift.

This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served Welder Fabricator with strong welding and fabrication experience who is looking to work on technically challenging engineering projects within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

As a Welder Fabricator, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality welding and fabrication work to detailed engineering drawings and approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs).

The successful Welder Fabricator will:

• * Be a time-served Welder/Fabricator with an NVQ Level 3 in Welding and Fabrication, or equivalent.
• * Hold a current CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection certification or recognised equivalent.
• * Have proven experience in TIG, MIG and/or SMAW manual welding.
• * Have proven fabrication experience working from detailed engineering drawings.
• * Be experienced in working to and strictly following approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs).
• * Have experience working with a range of materials, including non-ferrous materials, aluminium, alloy steel, stainless steel, Inconel and titanium.
• * Have a positive, can-do attitude and work effectively as part of a team.
• * Be flexible in your approach and willing to work overtime when required to meet customer requirements.
• * Be willing to develop your knowledge and train in additional welding processes.
• * Be willing to share your knowledge and support the training and development of other team members.

Due to the nature and varying demands of the business, responsibilities are not limited to those outlined above and may evolve to meet future requirements.

Working Hours

Following an initial training period, you will move onto a permanent weekend shift:

Friday, Saturday & Sunday - 7:30am to 4:45pm
