Job summary

MTrec Ltd. is seeking a time-served Welder/Fabricator for a permanent weekend shift at our Gateshead site. You will weld to exacting standards using TIG, MIG and SMAW and fabricate to detailed engineering drawings, with scope to train others.

After an initial training period you will work Friday to Sunday, 7:30am to 4:45pm, earning £29.48 per hour plus a weekend shift allowance of £117 per week, plus extensive benefits in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Time-served Welder/Fabricator with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• CSWIP 3.1 welding inspection certification or recognised equivalent.
• Proven experience in TIG, MIG and SMAW welding.
• Fabrication to detailed engineering drawings.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs).
• Experience with non-ferrous, aluminium, alloy steels, stainless steel, Inconel and titanium.
• Willing to train others and share knowledge.
• Flexible to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Weld using TIG, MIG and SMAW processes.
• Fabricate components to engineering drawings.
• Work to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs).
• Handle a range of materials including non-ferrous and exotic alloys.
• Mentor or train colleagues as needed.
• Be adaptable to changing demands and overtime requirements.
