Job summary

HSB Technical Ltd is seeking a Welder / Welder Fabricator for a 4 month contract in Portsmouth. The role requires MIG/MAG welding on marine and engineering components, with work to drawings and welding procedures.

The successful candidate will join a busy team, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery of fabrication work. The position is a contract role with umbrella, LTD or CIS options, paying £21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Mig & Mag welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within an engineering or marine environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out FCAW welding on a range of marine and engineering components.
• Skilled Mig Welder.
• Interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures, and technical documentation.
• Complete weld preparations, fit-up, and finishing activities as required.
• Conduct visual inspections of completed welds and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Maintain a safe and organised working environment in line with company procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
