Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for a permanent role in Harwich, Essex. The role involves MIG and TIG welding and fabrication from engineering drawings in a busy workshop.

You will work Mon-Fri, 0715-1600, 40 hours per week, with overtime paid at 1.33x. Applicants must have right to work in the UK and be able to read drawings.

Qualifications

• Extensive MIG welding experience.
• Proven TIG welding expertise.
• Fabrication from sheet metal drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong focus on health and safety in the workplace.
• Welding certifications (coding) would be an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding to manufacture components.
• Fabrication from drawings (cut, prep, tack, weld, dress/finish)
• Work from detailed engineering drawings to meet project specifications.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship in the fabrication of sheet metal components.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards in the workplace.

Welder / Fabricator

Permanent position

Location: Harwich, Essex (CO12)

Rate Guide: £16.00-£19.00 per hour (DOE)

Overtime: paid at time and one-third, good hours available

Monday to Friday, 0715 to 1600 hours - 40 hours per week

Core requirement: MIG & TIG Welding + Fabrication

Any structural steel experience beneficial

Join a busy, local, established engineering workshop producing high-quality fabricated steelwork and welded assemblies. You'll be working on a range of fabrication jobs, from prep through to final finish, following engineering drawings and specs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform TIG and MIG welding to manufacture components.
• Fabrication from drawings (cut, prep, tack, weld, dress/finish)
• Work from detailed engineering drawings to meet project specifications.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship in the fabrication of sheet metal components.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards in the workplace.
