Job summary

Cornerstone Project Source Ltd in Lincolnshire is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for a permanent role. You will weld and fabricate structural steel beams and columns, work on bespoke projects, and interpret technical drawings in a busy workshop.

Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends; rate £16-£18 PAYE, with overtime available. An experienced MIG welder with at least 2 years' experience and safety focus is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experienced MIG welder with minimum 2 years' experience.
• Able to read and work from technical drawings.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate structural steel beams and columns.
• Carry out high-quality MIG welding on mild steel components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans.
• Operate workshop tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Work with design/fabrication team to meet project deadlines.

Job description

A leading structural steel specialist is seeking a Welder / Fabricator for a permanent position at Lincolnshire. The role covers varied bespoke structural and architectural steelwork, with access to high-spec workshop equipment and opportunities for growth.
Start Date: Immediate
Rate: £16.00 - £18.00 PAYE
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (8 hours paid daily, 40 hours per week)
Weekends: When required
Overtime: Time and a quarter, available when required
Parking: Free parking available on site
Contract: Permanent
Location: Lincolnshire
Duties:

• Welding and fabricating structural steel beams and columns
• High-quality MIG welding on mild steel components
• Working on bespoke steel projects, from mezzanine floors to custom frameworks
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and fabrication plans
• Operating workshop tools and machinery safely and effectively
• Working alongside the design and fabrication team to meet project deadlines
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

Requirements:

• Experienced MIG welder, minimum 2 years' experience preferred
• Execution Class 2 ideally, though training can be provided
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Welding / Fabrication (preferred but not essential)
