Job summary

Core Group is recruiting an experienced Fabricator/Welder for its busy metal fabrication workshop in the South West. You will contribute to a range of high-quality bespoke metalwork and structural steel projects, working from detailed technical drawings to produce precise components for commercial and private developments.

This full-time permanent role offers £15.00–£17.00 per hour (including overtime), with an annual earning potential of £30,800–£38,000.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in MIG and/or TIG welding and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Overview

Core Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join a busy and well-established metal fabrication workshop based in the South West. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual looking to work on a variety of high-quality bespoke metalwork and structural steel projects within a professional and supportive environment.

You will be part of a skilled fabrication team delivering precision-built architectural and structural components used across commercial, residential, and private developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication and welding of bespoke steel and architectural metalwork
• Working from detailed technical and fabrication drawings
• Producing high-quality items to exact specifications
• Supporting the wider production team to meet project deadlines
• Ensuring all work meets required quality and safety standards
• Operating efficiently within a modern workshop environment using advanced fabrication processes

Typical Work Includes

• Staircases (feature, access, and structural)
• Walkways, gantries, and platforms
• Balustrades, handrails, and balconies
• Structural steel frameworks
• Custom architectural metal features

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in MIG and/or TIG welding and fabrication
• Ability to confidently read and interpret fabrication drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary & Benefits
