Job summary

Resource Recruitment is seeking a skilled Welder for a permanent role near Wyke Regis, Dorset. You will work from drawings on a variety of projects, welding Ali and Mild Steel, with opportunities for overtime at premium rates.

The position offers a starting salary of £14.50–£16.40 per hour (£32,045–£36,244 per annum) plus salary reviews, 42.5 hours weekly and a supportive workshop environment where training and career development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working within a welding capacity.
• Experience welding aluminium (Ali) and Mild Steel.
• Ability to work from drawings and follow detailed instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying projects and locations.

Responsibilities

• Working from drawings to make bespoke products for various projects.
• Undertaking repairs of products returned to the workshop.
• Welding on a variety of materials including Ali and Mild Steel.
• Undertaking refits, modifications and upgrades.
• Operating and using hand and power tools.
• Working as part of a busy workshop team.

Job Location: near Wyke Regis, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Starting salary £14.50 - £16.40 per hour / £32,045 - £36,244 per annum with lots of overtime available at excellent rates of x1.5 and x 2

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday (flexibility required due to nature of the business)

A leading specialist Engineering company who has a great reputation in the industry for not only their experience but also that no job is too difficult for them to undertake is seeking to add an experienced Welder to their team.

Operating out of a large workshop near Wyke Regis, they look after clients all around the area and are seeking to expand their team by recruiting an additional Welder Fabricator who can offer; experience and fixable solutions to their client’s problems.

No two days or jobs will ever be the same and we are looking for applications from Welders who can work on a variety of materials and on various projects, performing a wide array of tasks from small intricate parts to larger modular sections for construction projects.

Your starting salary will depend on level of experience.

Some of your duties will include:

• Working from drawings to making bespoke products for a variety of projects


• Undertaking repairs of products brought back into the company


• Working on a variety of materials including Ali and Mild Steel


• Undertaking refits, modifications and upgrades


• Operating and using various hand and power tools


• Working as part of the team in a busy workshop environment

Desirable Skills / Experience:

• Previous experience of working within a welding capacity


• You will need to have high standards of welding / fabrication with experience of welding Ali and Mild Steel


• Ability to work from drawings and follow detailed instructions


• The ability to work to deadlines


• Able to undertake overtime as required


• Formal Welding or Fabrication qualifications is an advantage but not essential


• Due to the nature of the business flexibility to working hours is required.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday (flexibility required due to nature of the business)
