Job summary

MTrec Ltd in the Newton Aycliffe area is seeking an experienced Welder for heavy steel welding and fabrication duties. You will follow technical drawings and schematics to produce welded structures.

Role requires MIG welding of products, working within weld tolerances, and fabricating bespoke units using a range of fabrication machines. Must be time served and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with heavy steel welding and fabrication.
• Time served welder or completed apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Weld heavy structural steel to specs.
• Follow basic drawings and schematics.
• MIG welding of products.
• Fabricate bespoke units and mark out drawings.
• Operate fabrication machines, cut and measure.
• Work within weld tolerances.

£18.00 per hour + Overtime

• 07.00am till 16.30pm

• MTrec are currently recruiting for a highly successful engineering firm based in the Newton Aycliffe area. We are looking for a Welder with experience in heavy steel welding and fabrication duties.

The Jobs You’ll Do

• Following both basic engineering drawings and schematics
• Heavy welding of structural steel
• Working within weld tolerances
• Fabricating own bespoke units
• MIG welding of products
• Marking off products and execute drawings
• Using a range of Fabrication machines
• Cutting, measuring and operating various machinery to shape products

About You;

• MUST be able to follow and interpret technical drawings
• Must be able to work both * individually for long period of time after training, and in a team.
• Should be time served
