Job summary

Hariley Solutions Ltd is recruiting for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer specialising in sheet metal fabrication and stainless steel products. The role is on-site in the UK, offering a 12-week temp-to-perm path and a professional manufacturing environment.

The position requires strong MIG and TIG welding skills, ability to read drawings, and a proven track record in fabrication. Monday to Thursday, 7:00am–4:30pm, with a pay range of £15.50–£16.37 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience MIG/TIG welding in fabrication/manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working with stainless steel and sheet metal.
• Strong weld quality and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard.
• Weld components in line with drawings and specifications.
• Work with sheet metal and stainless steel components.
• Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Prepare materials prior to welding and perform basic fabrication.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and dimensional standards.
• Use hand and power tools safely and maintain a clean workspace.
• Collaborate with production to meet quality and production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
• Weld a variety of fabricated components in line with drawings and specifications
• Work predominantly with sheet metal and stainless steel components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication drawings
• Prepare materials and components prior to welding
• Carry out basic fabrication, fitting and finishing duties where required
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet required quality and dimensional standards
• Use hand tools, power tools and relevant welding equipment safely
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Work closely with the wider production team to achieve quality and production targets

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a MIG/TIG Welder, Fabricator Welder or Production Welder
• Strong MIG and/or TIG welding skills
• Experience working within a fabrication, engineering or manufacturing environment
• Experience welding stainless steel and sheet metal would be advantageous
• The ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on weld quality
• Previous coded welding experience or current/previous welding codings would be highly advantageous
• A reliable, hardworking and positive approach to work
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
