National Trust’s Sizergh Welcome and Service Team Members greet visitors, share stories, and help guests make the most of their time. You’ll work across the Welcome Building and car park, processing admissions and guiding visitors with information and orientation.
The role supports events and seasonal activities, collaborates with colleagues, and helps promote membership and fundraising. Weekend and Bank Holiday availability is essential, with some evening work in winter.
As a Welcome and Service Team Member, you'll be at the heart of every visitor's experience at Sizergh, offering a warm welcome, sharing stories, and helping people make the most of their time with us. Whether you're greeting visitors, promoting membership, supporting events, or helping colleagues across the property, you'll play a key part in connecting people with the places we care for and ensuring every visit is memorable. Working Pattern: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can't guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We'll try to give as much notice as possible. Although hours are not guaranteed, we expect to offer 2/3 days of work per week, however this may vary according to peak and off-peak periods, school holidays and absence cover. Weekend and Bank Holiday availability is essential, as well as some evening work during our Winter programme. No two days at Sizergh are the same. As part of our Visitor Welcome Team, you'll play a key role in creating memorable experiences from the moment visitors arrive. Working across our Welcome Building and car park, you'll offer a warm welcome, process admissions, provide information and orientation, and help visitors make the most of their day. You'll enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, sharing stories about Sizergh and the National Trust, and having inspiring conversations that encourage support through membership and fundraising. You'll take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring every visitor feels valued and leaves with a positive impression. As a valued member of the Visitor Welcome Team, you'll work closely with colleagues to deliver exceptional experiences for our visitors every day. While your primary focus will be within Visitor Welcome, there may be opportunities to support other departments across the property during busy periods or when additional help is needed, as well as contributing to the delivery of our exciting programme of events and seasonal activities. From magical Winter at Sizergh evenings to Easter trails and Summer of Play, you'll help bring our visitor offer to life!
