Job summary

Waste King Limited in Cheddington is seeking a Weighbridge, Transport & Yard Administrator to join our busy recycling facility. The role blends administration, customer service, vehicle coordination and communication with the yard, with the weighbridge at the heart of daily operations.

You will handle weighbridge checks, weight records, transfer notes, booking outbound collections, and keeping drivers and suppliers informed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in administration, transport, logistics or weighbridge operations would be useful but is not essential.
• Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge and record vehicle movements and weights accurately.
• Process waste transfer notes, licences and compliance documentation.
• Book and coordinate outbound collections.
• Monitor scheduled vehicles and follow up delays or cancellations.
• Welcoming customers, drivers and suppliers to the site.
• Maintain drivers informed about delays and site arrangements.
• Maintain accurate records for invoicing, auditing and compliance.
• Communicate with the yard to manage vehicle movements safely.
• Completing general administration, reporting and data entry.
