Job summary

Waste King Limited in Cheddington is seeking a Weighbridge, Transport & Yard Administrator to join our busy recycling facility. The role blends administration, customer service, vehicle coordination and communication with the yard, with the weighbridge at the heart of daily operations.

You will handle weighbridge checks, weight records, transfer notes, booking outbound collections, and keeping drivers and suppliers informed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in administration, transport, logistics or weighbridge operations would be useful but is not essential.
• Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Job description

Waste King is an established, independently owned waste management and recycling business. Due to continued growth and internal progression, they are looking for a Weighbridge, Transport & Yard Administrator to join the team at their busy recycling facility in Cheddington. The weighbridge is at the centre of the site's day-to-day operation. This is a varied role combining administration, customer service, vehicle coordination, and communication with the yard. You will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

• Operating the weighbridge and accurately recording vehicle movements and weights.
• Processing waste transfer notes, licences and compliance documentation.
• Booking and coordinating outbound collections.
• Monitoring scheduled vehicles and following up delays or cancellations.
• Welcoming customers, drivers and suppliers to the site.
• Keeping drivers informed about delays and site arrangements.
• Maintaining accurate records for invoicing, auditing and compliance.
• Communicating with the yard to help manage vehicle movements safely.
• Completing general administration, reporting and data entry.

The site can become busy, with several vehicles arriving and different tasks competing for attention. You will need to stay organised, maintain accuracy and communicate confidently with drivers, customers, suppliers and colleagues.
