Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Oxfordshire is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a weekend shift to support a four‑day pattern, with initial Monday‑Friday onboarding. You will ensure quality, productivity and operational performance, working with an experienced team to deliver high‑standard manufacturing outcomes.

The role offers autonomy within a collaborative engineering environment, with opportunities to lead process improvements and adopt digital approaches that improve patient care worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science or related field.
  • Proven ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Experience in manufacturing/production/engineering environment.
  • Strong project management and continuous improvement capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues.
  • Collaborative mindset across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues using structured engineering methods.
  • Support manufacturing operations to maximise quality, efficiency, productivity and output.
  • Lead and deliver continuous improvement initiatives with measurable benefits.
  • Manage engineering projects including process improvements and capital investments.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, NPI).
  • Own manufacturing challenges and drive solutions to completion.
  • Develop and optimise manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Leverage digital technologies to enhance performance and quality.
  • Support readiness for new products and process developments.
  • Promote Siemens Healthineers' Zero Harm culture.
