Job summary

Bramey Court Care Home in Histon, Cambridge is seeking a Weekend Receptionist. The role is part-time, 8 hours per week, Sat-Sun 9am-5pm, with alternate weekend shifts and a £13.00 per hour rate. You will welcome visitors, manage the front desk, and support a friendly, caring team.

No formal qualifications required; full training provided. You will be the first point of contact, handling phones and emails politely while maintaining a welcoming reception area.

About the role

As our Weekend Receptionist you will meet, greet and sign in all visitors at the office. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the reception area is always neat and tidy and will ensure that each and every visitor is comfortable and has a refreshment whilst in the reception area. You’ll interact with our people on a daily basis - so you’ll be friendly, caring and kind.

Here’s some other important things you need to know:

• To answer the front door intercom promptly and ensure each visitor to the office are welcomed.
• To be the first point of contact for incoming enquiries into the office. Answering the phone and emails promptly and in a polite manner as soon as possible
• To ensure that all office stationery and refreshments are ordered as required
• To take responsibility for solving problems and queries brought by visitors or and internal and external bodies.
• To engender an atmosphere of co-operation and positivity within the office dealing with colleagues, visitors and suppliers with courtesy and respect at all times.
• To provide additional reception cover during bank holidays and periods of annual leave, including both weekends and weekdays, working alongside our existing Weekend Receptionist to ensure consistent reception and office cover.
