Job summary

Carebase is seeking a Weekend Receptionist for Bramley Court Care Home in Histon. You will meet and sign in visitors, ensure the reception is welcoming, and support the office team with daily tasks and administrative duties.

You’ll work Saturdays and Sundays, 9am-5pm, 8 hours per week, with alternate weekend shifts. We offer training, a friendly team, and a supportive working environment at Bramley Court.

Responsibilities

  • Answer the front door intercom promptly and welcome visitors.
  • Be the first point of contact for office inquiries; answer phones and emails promptly and politely.
  • Keep the reception area, office and kitchen neat, tidy and stocked.
  • Tidy rooms, load and empty the dishwasher, keep kitchen and boardrooms stocked and safe.
  • Support the office team with packaging, mailouts and materials.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, laminating and arranging bookings.
  • Provide weekly reports as requested.
  • Order stationery and refreshments as required.
  • Solve problems and respond to queries from visitors and staff.
  • Promote a cooperative, respectful atmosphere in the office.
  • Provide additional reception cover during bank holidays and annual leave.

About The Role

As our Weekend Receptionist you will meet, greet and sign in all visitors at the office. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the reception area is always neat and tidy and will ensure that each and every visitor is comfortable and has a refreshment whilst in the reception area. You’ll interact with our people on a daily basis - so you’ll be friendly, caring and kind.

Here’s some other important things you need to know:

  • To answer the front door intercom promptly and ensure each visitor to the office are welcomed.
  • To be the first point of contact for incoming enquiries into the office. Answering the phone and emails promptly and in a polite manner as soon as possible
  • To ensure that the reception area, office and kitchen is kept neat, tidy and welcoming and fridges are well stocked.
  • Tidy all rooms, load and empty dish washer, keep kitchen and boardrooms stocked ensuring that the office is clean and safe at all times
  • To support the office team in packaging and posting mailouts, materials i.e. leaflets, invoices etc.
  • To support the team with administrative tasks such as filing, laminating, ordering and booking things such as restaurants, cabs, hotels etc. where requested
  • Weekly reporting as requested
  • To ensure that all office stationery and refreshments are ordered as required
  • To take responsibility for solving problems and queries brought by visitors or and internal and external bodies.
  • To engender an atmosphere of co-operation and positivity within the office dealing with colleagues, visitors and suppliers with courtesy and respect at all times
  • To provide additional reception cover during bank holidays and periods of annual leave, including both weekends and weekdays, working alongside our existing Weekend Receptionist to ensure consistent reception and office cover.
