Job summary

Bridgehouseabingdon are seeking a Weekend Activities Assistant at Ashbrook Court to help plan and organise activities for residents, providing companionship and support in a vibrant care home environment. The role focuses on creating a fun, engaging atmosphere while prioritising residents' wellbeing.

You will be part of a caring team, delivering activities on weekends with some flexibility to cover holidays and sick leave, and you will be trained to follow the Home's Health and Safety policies

Qualifications

• Experience in care settings preferred.
• Caring nature and ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to undertake training provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise a variety of activities for residents to create a fun and interesting environment.
• Offer comfort and company on a one-to-one basis for residents unable to participate.
• Be alert to residents' physical and mental wellbeing at all times.
• Organise and accompany residents to off-site activities, potentially outside normal hours.
• Understand and implement the Care Home Health and Safety policy and emergency procedures.

About the role

As our Weekend Activities Assistant you will help plan and organise a whole variety of activities for our residents to create a fun and interesting environment for them. You will also offer comfort and company on a one-to-one basis for any residents unable to undertake the activities.

Here’s some other important things you need to know:

• You must be alert at all times to our residents’ physical and mental well being
• Organise and accompany Residents, where possible, to off-site activities, which may occasionally take place out of normal working hours
• Understand and ensure the implementation of the Care Homes Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.
