Job summary

Aureus School is seeking a reliable Premises Assistant to manage weekend lettings, handle reception for third party users, and assist in maintaining the school buildings and grounds. You will ensure safety checks are completed and defects are reported promptly, with a flexible, hands-on approach.

This part-time weekend role requires initiative, good communication, and a proactive attitude toward site maintenance and user support. Experience in building maintenance is helpful.

Qualifications

• Flexible lettings reception service for third party users of facilities.
• Lock/unlock site and facilities for weekend lettings.
• Promote health and safety compliance and checks.
• Assist in routine maintenance and report defects.
• Work independently with a can-do attitude.
• Carry out basic maintenance and DIY tasks.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of building maintenance works (plumbing, carpentry, electrical).

Responsibilities

• Provide a flexible, responsive lettings reception for third party users.
• Unlock the school site and required facilities for events.
• Support health and safety compliance and reporting.
• Assist maintenance and upkeep; report defects promptly.
• Work on own initiative and handle basic DIY tasks.
• Communicate effectively with users and team members.
