Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is expanding its Phlebotomy Service and seeks dynamic individuals with excellent communication skills. You will work with inpatients, outpatients and GP patients, on a 7-day rota including weekends and bank holidays.

The role emphasizes venepuncture proficiency, teamwork, and high standards of service delivery within a busy hospital setting.

Formación

• GCSE level education with at least 3 passes including Maths and English.
• Desirable venepuncture qualification.
• Knowledge of GDPR and health & safety in healthcare.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate effectively with laboratory, clinical staff and external clients.
• Order stock from Main Stores and rotate stock to maintain supplies.
• Participate in staff rotas and support the Phlebotomy Supervisor.
• Work one-to-one with patients following competency assessment.
• Perform venepuncture following correct procedures.
• Verify patient identification via verbal confirmation and wrist bands.
