Job summary

Diageo plc in Glasgow is seeking a Weekend Shift Manager to lead the Shieldhall site packaging teams from Friday to Sunday, with a handover on Monday, and oversee a team of around 40 including Packaging Team Leaders, Equipment Owners, Operators and Engineers. The role focuses on safety, engagement and delivering customer service at scale.

You will drive continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing principles, acting as a change agent to motivate teams and implement robust plans for site growth

Qualifications

• Inclusive leadership with strong operational experience.
• Experience leading other leaders, or a management role.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
• Change agent who fosters connection and implements plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of circa 40 people including Packaging Team Leaders, Equipment owners, Operators and Engineers.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence.
• Deliver stretching plans to service customers and align with strategic growth.
• Be flexible to work predominantly weekends (Fri–Sun) with weekday availability to connect with other shifts.
