Job summary

Diageo in the UK is seeking a Temporary Bottling Shift Supervisor to lead a team on high-speed bottling lines. You will manage day-to-day operations, ensure safety, quality and plan adherence, and drive continuous improvement during a 12-hour shift pattern.

You will supervise roughly 6–8 operators, coordinate with Engineering, Quality and Planning, and report to the Business Area Manager. This 6-month contract offers hands-on leadership in a global drinks company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading or supervising people within a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment.
• Experience working with bottling or high-speed production lines.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
• Experience using SAP and/or production performance systems.
• An understanding of continuous improvement, food safety, quality and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team of approximately 6–8 operators across the bottling operation.
• Ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Managing day-to-day operational challenges, including breakdowns, quality concerns and changes to the production plan.
• Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning and other teams to minimise disruption and maintain production performance.
• Coaching and developing team members, while creating an environment where people feel empowered to identify and solve problems.
• Monitoring production performance, line efficiency, waste and downtime.
• Supporting continuous improvement across the bottling operation.
• Ensuring company policies, procedures and manufacturing standards are consistently followed.
