Job summary

Scotch Whisky in Bellshill is seeking a Lead Technician to drive performance, reliability and continuous improvement across our packaging operations. You will lead from the front, coordinate maintenance activities, develop technicians and collaborate with production teams to optimise line uptime and safety.

You will be responsible for coordinating shift activities, managing contractors, and ensuring maintenance is delivered safely and to schedule, while driving improvements and supporting

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, engineering or technician roles in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead, coordinate or coach technical teams.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance practices.
• Experience with maintenance management systems such as IFS or similar.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift activities to maximise team performance.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and in compliance with requirements.
• Manage contractors in line with procedures.
• Own planned and corrective maintenance schedules for production lines.
• Drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support production performance with operational teams.
• Review maintenance activities to remove non-value tasks and improve efficiency.
• Assist with training and development plans for technicians.
• Contribute to new product introductions and capital projects.
• Produce reports and improvement plans based on data.
• Champion an inclusive culture valuing diverse perspectives.
