Job summary

Diageo is recruiting a Temporary Bottling Shift Supervisor for its bottling operation in the UK. You will lead a team of approximately 6–8 operators and own day-to-day performance of the lines on a 12-hour shift pattern (7:00–19:00 / 19:00–7:00).

You will drive safety, quality and efficiency, coach team members and collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Planning to keep production on plan. This six-month assignment offers hands-on leadership in one of the world’s leading drinks businesses.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising people in manufacturing, production or FMCG.
• Experience working with bottling or high-speed production lines.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using SAP and/or production performance systems.
• Understanding of continuous improvement, food safety, quality and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team of approximately 6–8 operators across the bottling operation.
• Ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Managing day-to-day operational challenges, including breakdowns, quality concerns and changes to the production plan.
• Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning and other teams to minimise disruption and maintain production performance.
• Coaching and developing team members, while creating an environment where people feel empowered to identify and solve problems.
• Monitoring production performance, line efficiency, waste and downtime.
• Supporting continuous improvement across the bottling operation.
• Ensuring company policies, procedures and manufacturing standards are consistently followed.
