Job summary

University of Strathclyde Information Services is seeking Weekend Senior IS Assistants with established library, IT and customer service skills to join the IS Enquiries team in the Andersonian Library.

You will work Sundays 12:00–17:00 on a rota basis during term time (Sept–May) and provide frontline information and IT support to students, staff and visitors. A good general education to HNC/HND level or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a library, information or IT support service in a customer-facing role.
• Good general education to HNC/HND level or equivalent experience.
• Ability to handle a variety of enquiries and resolve problems with appropriate referrals.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline enquiry services in the Andersonian Library on Sundays during term time.
• Support library and IT enquiries and assist customers, staff and visitors.
• Refer complex issues to the appropriate university teams as needed.
