Job summary

Lancaster University Library is seeking an enthusiastic Library Services Advisor to join the Library User Services team. You will respond to enquiries in person and online, supporting students, staff, researchers and community members both on and off-campus.

The role emphasizes excellent interpersonal skills, reliability and teamwork in a customer-focused environment, with flexibility to cover additional shifts during the term and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate confidently with colleagues, students, University staff and external contacts.
• Reliability and previous experience of team working in a customer-focused role is essential, as well as the ability to use initiative and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Library enquiries in person and online.
• Provide front-line customer service excellence across Library opening hours.
• Support students, staff, researchers and community members on and off-campus.
• Work as part of a team and maintain a welcoming Library environment.
