Job summary

Harrow Council is seeking an Information Assistant (Weekend) to join the Harrow Library Service and help deliver an excellent customer experience. You will welcome library users, identify needs and actively support access to facilities, services and resources.

Based at a branch, you may provide relief cover across Harrow libraries, with weekend work and flexibility to support service requirements across the borough.

Qualifications

• Strong written and spoken English with clear telephone communication.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and internet access.
• Ability to file accurately and manage information for a diverse library user base.

Responsibilities

• Welcome library customers and identify their needs.
• Provide information and assistance to access services and resources.
• Support weekend library operations and relief cover across branches.
• Maintain orderly filing and records and assist with customer care routines.
